If you have answered “yes” to all the questions in Step 1 through Step 5, you are ready to begin the preliminary work neccessary to do business with the government.

We encourage you to t
ake advantage of our free assistance available to help you succeed in government contracting. The Federal Technology Center
(The FTC) has been designated by the Defense Logistics Agency as the Statewide Procurement Assistance Program to serve 54 of the 58 counties in California. We are a not-for-profit public benefit corporation dedicated to helping small businesses successfully compete for federal, state and local government contracts.

The FTC provides the following services to small businesses:

Free training in basic and advanced topics on how to do business with government entities
 
  •  Free help in identifying government marketing opportunities and strategies  
  •  Free assistance in completing registrations which are a prerequisite for bidding on contracts  
  •  Free help with government certification programs  
  Free one-on-one counseling to meet individual business needs  
  •  Free referrals to business programs, resources, and websites  
  •  Low cost bid-matching service that provides businesses access to over 1,000 federal, state, county, and local websites to identify government contracting opportunities specific to their type of product or service
