GovLink Conference 2009 a Resounding Success
October 21, 2009

Our GovLink Conference 2009 broke all of The Federal Technology Center’s previous conference records by attracting more than 400 registrants and 51 exhibitors representing federal, state, and local government, large primes, and small businesses. The focus of this year’s conference, held at the Radisson Sacramento on October 20-21, 2009, was to link small businesses to government opportunities.

Congresswoman Doris Matsui Welcomes Small Business Constituents

The Greater Sacramento small business community responded enthusiastically to Congresswoman Doris Matsui’s recent outreach events, designed to help them learn about federal contracting opportunities. Held at California State University Sacramento on June 30 and Sacramento City College on August 6, each event included experts from federal agencies that provided information about how to do business with their agencies.

Regional Transit Introduces New Small Business Program and Upcoming Contracting Opportunities at Sold-Out Conference
January 29, 2009

Over 300 business repre­sentatives attended the 5th Annual Regional Transit Primes & Subcontractors Conference in Sacramento, California on January 29, 2009. They came to hear Michael Wiley, General Manager/CEO for the Sacramen­to Regional Transit District (RT) and RT’s executive management and procurement teams discuss details of upcoming contracting opportunities and to learn about RT’s new aggressive Small Business Program. The sold-out conference, co-hosted by RT and The Federal Technology Center (The FTC), broke previous years’ records on attendance and exhib­itors, including representatives from small and large businesses and government agencies.
