The FTC Hosts Placer County Super Seminar
April 25, 2007
On April 25, 2007, The Federal Technology Center (The FTC) hosted the second annual Placer County Super Seminar, entitled, “Getting to Know Your Local Contracting Resources.” Over 150 small businesses were represented at this event co-hosted by Placer County and the City of Rocklin. Speakers included local agency representatives from the County of Placer; the Cities of Lincoln, Rocklin, and Roseville; and federal and state representa-tives from Beale Air Force Base, U.S. Small Business Administration, Department of Forestry, California Department of Transpor-tation, General Services Administration, California Department of General Services, and Sierra College Small Business Development Center. To further assist business owners in understanding the government requirements, certifications needed, and qualifications
to get
started in government
contracting, The FTC also taught the class, “Getting Started with
Government Contracting.”
