Solano County Super Seminar Speakers are “Mountains of Knowledge”
April 26, 2006

Solano County Supervisor, Mike J. Reagan (District 5), welcomed over 100 small business participants and government representatives to the Solano County Super Seminar in Fairfield on April 26, 2006. Reagan emphasized that Solano County, home to Travis Air Force Base, is growing quickly and opportunities for doing business with government abound. This event was sponsored by The Federal Technology Center (The FTC), Solano County, and Solano College Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

Federal, state, and local government procurement officials from San Francisco District of the U. S. Small Business Administration, Bureau of Reclamation, California Department of General Services, Travis AFB, Solano County, City of Vacaville, and Solano College, participated in panel discussions and presentations that gave attendees the face-to-face opportunity to learn about the best way to approach doing business with those participating agencies|.

“I have learned a great deal of valuable information…the speakers are mountains of knowledge,” said Jerry Hudson, owner of Jerry’s Carpet Care in Sacramento. Dave Dixon, from Hubbert Systems Consulting, said that he appreciated getting, “information on all participating organizations…[and] additional contacts and resources for navigating [their] systems.”
