The Federal Technology Center is a partnership intermediary for federal laboratories. One of our major Federal customers is the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) at McClellan Park. We help the DMEA, and other sponsoring federal laboratories, to successfully work with small businesses and academia in cooperative activities.

Services for federal laboratories:
We provide the following value added services for sponsoring federal laboratories:

Office of Research and Technology Application (ORTA) Support- We can help you develop beneficial partnerships and agreements. We are versed in all the authorized technology transfer mechanisms including CRADAs, Educational Partnerships, Commercial Test Agreements, etc. We'll do the leg work for you!

Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Support - We'll help you manage your SBIR contracts.

Technology mining and commercialization assessments - We can interview your technical staff to find technologies and then assess those technologies for commercialization potential. We can then find one or more businesses that may be interested in the technology.

Identify potential small business vendors - We can help you find small businesses that can fulfill your research and supplier needs.

Optimize small business contracting - We'll work with your procurement officials to increase the pool of potential small business suppliers.

We help you fulfill your congressionally mandated technology transfer and small business goals
